13th Annual Gulf Coast Veterans Day Parade & Festival
The Mississippi Gulf Coast honors veterans everywhere with parades of respect and celebration of their lives and deeds! On Saturday, November 9, 2013, the 13th Annual Gulf Coast Veterans Day Parade and Festival, the largest Veterans Day event in the Southeast, rolls in downtown Biloxi beginning at 11:00 a.m. Active and retired military march along with floats and JROTC units from throughout the state.
A parade wouldn’t be a parade without the bands, and you can be assured there will be plenty of marching music. And new this year: The first “Red, White and Blue on the Green” (Biloxi Town Green) with music, vendors and displays. A fun-filled day for the entire family!
Then, on Monday, November 11, 2013, Veterans Day, the parading continues with the 13th Annual Jackson County Veterans Day Parade. The parade marches at 10:00 a.m. in Moss Point and the program begins at 11:00 a.m. at the Jackson County Veterans Memorial Monument. See classic cruisers, high school bands, JROTC units, decorated vehicles, mounted patrols, fire trucks and more! Fallen soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and veterans of all wars will be recognized and remembered.
Come honor and celebrate those who sacrificed to give us freedom: Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Biloxi; Monday, November 11, 2013 in Moss Point.
